Mr. Freudenthal is a nationally recognized expert in the area of flood risk, whose innovative services have demonstrated the ability to convert flood risk into opportunities that create enterprise value. His innovative leadership in the field of flood risk has delivered over $5 billion of additional free flood coverage through clients’ property insurance policies, reduced annual flood insurance costs by more than $50 million, increased asset values by more than $1 billion, and has prevented many uninsured losses.
Mr. Freudenthal also co-founded and serves as President of CRIO Group, which is a rapidly growing consortium of innovative insurance brokerage and risk management companies. His companies have delivered specialized flood risk consulting services on a nationwide basis to leading commercial real estate companies that collectively own and operate over 4 million multifamily units and over 100,000 retail, office, hospitality, industrial and other types of commercial properties.
Mr. Freudenthal is a nationwide recognized speaker at leading risk management and commercial real estate conferences specializing in flood risk, and has published numerous articles in real estate, risk management and insurance industry publications.
Mr. Freudenthal earned a Bachelor Degree in Business Administration from the University of Miami and currently holds property and casualty insurance licenses in all 50 states and DC.

Gregory K. Barrett, ARM
Executive Vice President, Property & Casualty Practice Leader
Mr. Barrett has more than 25 years of diverse experience in the insurance industry, where he has demonstrated the ability to convert risk into opportunities that create value for his clients. Mr. Barrett has served middle market and large corporations while an executive of global and regional insurance brokers and has professional experience working for insurance carriers.
At Aon and Alexander & Alexander, Mr. Barrett served as Senior Vice President and a Middle Market Practice Leader, where he utilized his expertise by performing thorough risk management and insurance program analysis, negotiating sophisticated insurance and alternative risk transfer programs including captives, assisting with mergers and acquisitions, exposure analyses and other functions. He also has specialized in the structuring, placement and servicing of wrap-ups, owner controlled insurance programs (OCIPS), contractor controlled insurance programs, multi-year builder’s risk programs and large multilayered property programs.
As a Vice President at Johnson and Higgins, Mr. Barrett was a leader within the Sports and Entertainment practice where his diverse group of clients included the Florida Marlins, Florida Panthers, Jacksonville Jaguars, Pro-Player Stadium, American Media, NCCI and the PGA of America, for which he also served as Interim Risk Manager.
Mr. Barrett holds an Associate in Risk Management (ARM) designation, and earned Bachelors Degrees in Risk Management and Insurance as well as Marketing Management from Florida State University. He holds a property and casualty license in the State of Florida as well as Series 7 and 66 securities licenses.
